Pacific Party Canopies, Burlington, Wash., has entered into a strategic acquisition of Stellar Event Rentals, Lynnwood, Wash.
Stellar Event Rentals Owner Jim Baker — who is retiring and will relocate to the St. Petersburg, Fla., area — got his start in the rental business with Greg Greenfield in 1989 with the opening of Pacific Party Canopies.
“With Jim Baker retiring, he approached us to take over long-term open contracts and purchase strategic assets,” said Derek Sligh, chief operating officer, Pacific Party Canopies.
Pacific Party Canopies said the remainder of Stellar Event Rentals’ assets will go to auction by James G. Murphy Auctioneers.
Pacific Party Canopies is a subsidiary of Ideal Rent-All, Mount Vernon, Wash., headed by CEO Michael McDaniel.
