TRD Boot Camp: Training for the Tent Professional

These one-day training events are dedicated to educating teams and promoting safety during installations and public usage. Using exclusive (newly updated!) training modules and drawing on the TRD’s wide variety of proprietary information, boot camps send tent rental professionals back to the jobsite equipped with the knowledge and skill to get the job done right. A Pre-Boot Camp Happy Hour will take place the evening before the full-day of education.

Essentials of Tent Anchoring

The course is designed through the partnership of ATA, ARA, and MATRA. Proper anchoring is the key to a strong and reliable tent. The Essentials of Tent Anchoring course is part of the Safe Tenting Professionals (STP) program, and offers comprehensive instruction on the correct methods, techniques, and data-driven science essentials for creating optimal tension in tents through proper anchoring. This course provides attendees with the knowledge and detailed examples needed to adequately and safely anchor various styles and types of tents for a range of applications.

Fire Code Officials – Tent Anchoring Class

Proper anchoring of tents is critical to the safety of the occupants. This class is for fire code officials who are responsible for the plan review, permit, and inspection of tent installations. How much weight is enough weight? Are water barrels still permitted? These and other questions will be discussed during this classroom and in-person demonstration of tent ballasting/anchoring methods. Attendees will learn more about tent ballasting and the various methods available that will provide increased tent safety. Available to code enforcement officials, fire marshals, inspectors.
