Safe Tenting Professional Certification Workshop

Designed for tenting professionals, this 1.5-day workshop combines the Essentials of Tent Anchoring, Essentials of Frame Tent Install, and Essentials of Pole Tent Install courses into one convenient learning experience. Participants may register for the full workshop or select the individual courses needed to meet their certification requirements. Through standards-based instruction and industry best practices, attendees will build a strong foundation in safe tent installation, anchoring principles, equipment components, and installation procedures. Topics include anchor selection and inspections, evaluating field conditions, understanding frame and pole tent types, identifying tent parts and hardware, and applying proper install techniques. Whether working toward certification or enhancing existing skills, participants will leave with the knowledge to perform safe, efficient, and professional tent installations.

TRD Boot Camp: Training for the Tent Professional

These one-day training events are dedicated to educating teams and promoting safety during installations and public usage. Using exclusive (newly updated!) training modules and drawing on the TRD’s wide variety of proprietary information, boot camps send tent rental professionals back to the jobsite equipped with the knowledge and skill to get the job done right. A Pre-Boot Camp Happy Hour will take place the evening before the full-day of education.

Fire Code Officials – Tent Anchoring Class

Proper anchoring of tents is critical to the safety of the occupants. This class is for fire code officials who are responsible for the plan review, permit, and inspection of tent installations. How much weight is enough weight? Are water barrels still permitted? These and other questions will be discussed during this classroom and in-person demonstration of tent ballasting/anchoring methods. Attendees will learn more about tent ballasting and the various methods available that will provide increased tent safety. Available to code enforcement officials, fire marshals, inspectors.
