TRD Boot Camp: Training for the Tent Professional

These one-day training events are dedicated to educating teams and promoting safety during installations and public usage. Using exclusive (newly updated!) training modules and drawing on the TRD’s wide variety of proprietary information, boot camps send tent rental professionals back to the jobsite equipped with the knowledge and skill to get the job done right. A Pre-Boot Camp Happy Hour will take place the evening before the full-day of education.

Schedule

The course is designed through the partnership of ATA, ARA, and MATRA. Proper anchoring is the key to a strong and reliable tent. The Essentials of Tent Anchoring course is part of the Safe Tenting Professionals (STP) program, and offers comprehensive instruction on the correct methods, techniques, and data-driven science essentials for creating optimal tension in tents through proper anchoring. This course provides attendees with the knowledge and detailed examples needed to adequately and safely anchor various styles and types of tents for a range of applications.

This course will be put on at Choura events the day before the TRD Boot Camp Training. This course has a separate fee and registration and is limited to 25 participants. If you are interested in learning more, click here.

Proper anchoring of tents is critical to the safety of the occupants. This class is for fire code officials who are responsible for the plan review, permit, and inspection of tent installations. These and other questions will be discussed during this classroom and in-person demonstration of tent ballasting/anchoring methods. Attendees will learn more about tent ballasting and the various methods available that will provide increased tent safety. Available to code enforcement officials, fire marshals, inspectors.
