TRD Boot Camp: Training for the Tent Professional

These one-day training events are dedicated to educating teams and promoting safety during installations and public usage. Using exclusive (newly updated!) training modules and drawing on the TRD’s wide variety of proprietary information, boot camps send tent rental professionals back to the jobsite equipped with the knowledge and skill to get the job done right. A Pre-Boot Camp Happy Hour will take place the evening before the full-day of education.

7 – 9 pm: Pre-Boot Camp Networking Reception (light apps & drinks included)

The reception will be hosted at the Highland Pines Golf Club – 6700 Highland Pines Drive | Porter, TX 77365

Come network will fellow installers and vendors, along with knowledgeable TRD leaders who will be presenting at the Boot Camp the following day.

7 am – 3:30 pm: Focus will be on but not limited to the following areas:

Program will include (lunch provided):

This Bootcamp is designed for the intermediate as well as the advanced tent installer and manager. During this full day of training attendees will gain useful knowledge and hands on experience in a variety of relevant tent subjects. All will also get the opportunity to socialize with their counterparts of other successful tent rental companies, as well as talk with tent manufactures and other product related companies.

Focus will be on but not limited to the following areas:

  • Safety tips, including working in extreme weather, and the needed safety equipment for tent installers
  • Installation of traditional “West Coast” Frame Tent
  • Installation of “High Peak” Tent
  • Installation of Clear Span Structure to include:
    • Layout of base plates
    • Beam assembly
    • Raising of beams both manually and with equipment
    • Installation of fabric mids, ends, fabric walls, hard walls, and doors
  • Additional Sessions on:
    • Q&A with local Fire Marshals
    • Warehouse workflow and the need for maximum efficiencies
    • Tent washing, drying, and maintenance
    • Panel of experts -“Tips of the Trade”

There will also be plenty of time for a ‘can’t miss’ tour of Houston Tents & Events’ great facility!
