811 Call Before You Stake

The Tent Rental Division (TRD), in partnership with the Common Ground Alliance (CGA), has worked together to bring the “Call Before You Stake” campaign to the tent industry. This safety initiative provides resources and materials designed to promote safe staking practices and raise awareness across the industry.

We encourage you to explore the new “Call Before You Stake” Toolkit which includes ready-to-share materials to help educate your teams and clients. By sharing this message within your circles of influence, you’re helping lead the industry forward—protecting crews, clients, and the communities we serve.

Together, let’s raise awareness, protect our people, and lead the industry forward.

Key Information

Before installing a tent, it’s essential to ensure that your ground penetration activities won’t disrupt underground utilities, including gas lines, water pipes, and electrical cables. Striking a utility line can lead to serious injuries, service disruptions, and costly repairs.
