In the fall of 2010 the World Equestrian Games was held in Lexington, KY, the first time this prestigious event has ever been held in North America. We were subcontracted to provide 300 tent structures, totaling 250,000 square feet of tenting, as well as related tenting, flooring, lighting, power distribution, HVAC and event rental products. The tents were utilized for hospitality tents, dining facilities, kitchen tents, security tents, media compounds, veterinary clinics, chalets, maintenance tents, operations, retail sales operations, meeting areas, storage, warehousing, volunteer areas, medical tents and a variety of other uses.

The project lasted more than two weeks with technicians onsite for site changes. We needed to load, ship and unload nearly 50 tractor-trailer loads of equipment. More than 500 lights and 5 miles of tent sidewalls were provided. Challenges included changes and additions of equipment and services from the day we arrived until the first couple days of the event, moving tents after installation and changes in flooring from laydown elevated flooring.

The clients were happy with our work and level of service provided. The World Equestrian Games was one of the largest special events in the world in 2010 with estimated attendance of more than 400,000 people. We were the largest supplier of tenting and event rental products for this project.
