Project Description

The purpose of this project was to provide 10 custom made 15 x 20 foot classrooms to be installed on concrete slabs around Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Each tent was individually painted by international artists within the Miami Event Space in Little Haiti, Miami. The tent was designed and manufactured by Armbruster Manufacturing. The result is that these classroom tents will not only serve as a location to educate Haitian children, but will be visible from the air and will serve as a magnet, icon and message to the world, to appreciate what we have inherited from the Haitian people and their insatiable struggle for freedom. This project merged art with tents for the benefit of the children.
